PhD Project Opportunity – As part of Chalice’s biodiversity commitment of no net-loss of species or habitat diversity as a result of the Gonneville Project, we are pleased to support a new PhD project based near the Julimar State Forest.
Chalice provided funding to the Julimar Volunteer Bushfire Brigade to support upgrades to their facilities, improving the safety of entry and exit procedures at the fire station.
If the Gonneville Project progresses to a mine, it will be a significant new industry in the Wheatbelt region of WA. This is an exciting opportunity for local employment and economic development.
The Gonneville Project was recently named a Strategic Project by the Government of Western Australia for its potential to deliver significant economic and energy
transition benefits for the State and region.

Chalice’s artificial cockatoo hollows project has seen plenty of activity over the last few months, with visits from a broad range of wildlife including Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos and Red-tailed Black Cockatoos.

The Toodyay chapter of the Country Women’s Association celebrated a number of milestones in April, with the 100th Anniversary of National Association and the 100th birthday of long-time member, Mavis. Also cause for celebration are the repairs to the roof of the CWA Hall.
